Clockwise from right, the charms include a lucky star charm with the message Er Sei Dein. Glückstern (h e be your lucky star), lucky swallow charm (symbolizes I shall return), lucky 4-leaf clover charm, lucky pig charm, lucky angel charm for protection, lucky chimney sweeper charm, and lucky mushroom charm. The mushroom cap is enameled in red, although my photos didn’t capture the color very well. I refer to this series of charms as the “spider web” series, since the borders of the charms mimic the look of spider webs. In many parts of Europe, spiders are symbols of good luck. A few of the charms are rare or hard to find. Each charm is finely rendered, hand-engraved, and enameled. The condition is very good with minimal wear. Although the charms are Austrian or German in origin, I chose an antique French charm bracelet created from an antique watch chain to hold the charms. The decorative, elongated links of the chain complement the shapes of the borders of the charms. I added all new sturdy, secure jump rings. The wearable length of the bracelet is 7 5/8. The width of the bracelet links is 3/16. Each charm measures 3/4, and each of the charms are stamped with Austrian import marks. The charms are made of at least. The bracelet is also made of.
